Why the 9 kW Size
The Cilindro 9 kW is rated for sauna cabins between 141 and 494 cubic feet, best for large residential sauna cabins (4–5 person bench). For smaller cabins step down to the Cilindro 6 / 8 kW; for the largest installations step up to the Cilindro 10.5 kW.
Xenio CX + Fenix Upgrade, What's the Difference?
Tier 2 ("Cilindro Heater + Control + Stones") bundles the Harvia Xenio CX Smart Control power unit (auto-matched to kW: CX30 for 6 kW, CX45 for 8 / 9 / 10.5 kW). The Xenio CX ships with WiFi built in and connects to the MyHarvia smartphone app for remote start and scheduling.
Tier 3 ("Cilindro Heater + Control + Stones + Fenix Upgrade") adds the Harvia Fenix FX004XW Touchscreen Display on top of the Xenio CX, Harvia's next-generation control UI, for the longest-runway platform investment as Harvia eventually transitions from Xenio to Fenix.
Sauna Stones
Cilindro's tall stone column requires significantly more sauna stones than a typical wall heater. Each "Heater + Control + Stones" package (and the Fenix Upgrade tier) ships with 5 boxes of Harvia AC3000 standard sauna stones, olivine diabase, 5–10 cm size grade, 20 kg (44 lb) per box, the same heat-tested stones Harvia ships with every sauna heater.
Installation & Electrical Requirements
The Cilindro 9 kW requires a dedicated 240V 1-Phase circuit (37.5 Amps, 8 Gauge Copper) wired by a licensed electrician. Cilindro is UL Listed and must be installed per the included manual.

About the Harvia Cilindro Family
Harvia Cilindro is the company's pillar-style tower sauna heater, a stainless steel column with a tall glass-front stone bed that becomes the visual centerpiece of the sauna cabin. The Cilindro's distinctive silhouette and tall stone column produce exceptionally even all-directional radiant heat, this is the spec sheet for buyers who want the most "löyly per session" Harvia makes in a residential pillar format.
The Xenio Smart Control version shown here pairs with an external Harvia Xenio CX30 (6 kW) or CX45 (8 / 9 / 10.5 kW) power unit for digital scheduling, WiFi/MyHarvia app control, and remote start. The optional Fenix Upgrade adds Harvia's next-generation touchscreen display on top. If you want the simpler mechanical version without the external control unit, see the Harvia Cilindro Dial Control sibling family.
