The Finnleo Himalaya 9.0 kW is a floor-standing, rock-tower electric sauna heater engineered for larger home and light-commercial saunas. As the higher-output member of Finnleo's best-selling Himalaya family, the 9.0 kW model surrounds its heating elements on every side with a tall column of stone, holding roughly 210 lb of sauna rocks in direct contact with the heat. The result is deep, radiant warmth and an abundant, soft löyly (steam) that fills larger sauna rooms evenly from floor to ceiling.

Built by Sauna360 in Cokato, Minnesota, the Himalaya 9.0 kW is sized for sauna rooms of 310 to 500 cubic feet, making it the right choice for family-size cabins, gyms, spas, and larger custom-built saunas where the 7.0 kW model would fall short. Every unit ships with standard BioWater Technique (BWT) integral water tank technology, letting bathers dial in a softer, more humid steam without sacrificing the dry-heat feel of a traditional Finnish sauna.

SaunaLogic2 (SL2) Control Compatibility

The Himalaya 9.0 kW is designed exclusively around Finnleo's SaunaLogic2 control system, available with or without Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity. The SL2 control lets bathers set:

• Sauna temperature from 119°F to 194°F (typical bathing range 150°F–165°F)
• Session duration from 0 to 60 minutes
• A pre-set delayed start of up to 24 hours
• Optional RGBW lighting sequences (White, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Aqua, Purple, or rotating colors) at 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% brightness, supporting a lighting package of 3 to 8 fixtures
• Optional Bluetooth audio operation, when the Bluetooth package is purchased with the system

All settings are remembered by the heater between sessions, and the system automatically restores default values after a power interruption.

Construction & Installation Requirements

• Wall construction: minimum R-12 insulation in 16" on-center 2x4 stud walls, with tongue-and-groove softwood interior paneling and a foil vapor barrier
• Recommended minimum flooring thickness of 5/8"
• Heater guard rail (rock/heater screen) required with minimum clearances as specified in Finnleo's installation diagrams
• No electrical receptacles or showers permitted inside the sauna room
• Sauna door must open outward and use only magnetic, friction, spring, or gravity-loaded closures — no permanent locking or latch systems
• Required ventilation: fresh-air inlet vent located directly below the heater, with an air outlet positioned lower than the upper benches and roughly two feet higher than the inlet, sized per UL 875 guidelines
• CAUTION and WARNING placards (included) must be mounted per Finnleo's placement instructions — CAUTION plate on the interior wall above the heater, WARNING plate on or beside the exterior door at eye level
• Contactor must be rated for a minimum of 250,000 operating cycles
